I was looking back at my old posts and just wanted to let you all know that I am glad to be home. Texas was a miserable experience, but I did learn a lot while down there.
Jake and I are doing well. He is teaching 6th grade science and helping out with the varsity football team. First game on Friday!!!
I am teaching 3rd grade, right next door to my 3rd grade teachers. I'm still getting used to all the differences from last year. 3rd graders are quite a bit different from 5th graders! One big difference is that many of my 3rd graders do not know how to use mechanical pencils!! but... they are really sweet.
We didn't get do all the things we wanted to this summer, but it was still nice. I wanted to repaint the house... didn't happen. After much deliberation we decided not to build a deck or new front porch.
Our big decision right now... new carpet or not?
