JOBS!!!

I am excited to announce that Jake and I accepted jobs in Pauls Valley. I will be teaching 3rd grade and Jake will be teaching 6th grade science!!!

Golf

A week ago today was our last day of school. After school Jake drug me to the Cliffe (in Dallas) to Stevenson's (or something) Golf Course. It was in a suprisingly nice area. I didn't really have a choice, so I made the best of it. I enjoyed driving the golf course and looking at the beautiful scenery. The houses around were beautiful with gorgeous landscaping! One house had tons of of hydrangeas! one of my favorite flowers! They must have been growing for years because they were stunning!

I planted some flowers yesterday. Petunias and Geraniums. Two Crape Myrtles. My cannas are looking pretty good and my rose bush has only bloomed once. Cannas are really my type of flower! I don't have to do anything with them, and here they are about to bloom. Thanks grandma!

Our Hardwork

I wanted to show you the finished result of all the hardwork we've been doing! We acquired this pool from Jake's parents because they were planning on selling their house. We put it up ourselves last summer and got to enjoy it for about two weeks. We bought a new pump this year and patched up about 8 or 10 leaks... drained it, scrubbed it, and filled it with water... and voila!

We're Back!

I just spent 15 minutes uploading pictures and writing a "we're back" blog... and it somehow messed up!

So. In short. We're Back!

Quickly!

I have five minutes of quiteness before my students are back from recess.

We came home, belongings and cats in tow. Everything is back, except for us! We will be back on Saturday. For good.

Cross your fingers... the pool should be ready this weekend. We spent lots of hot hours working on it this weekend. There appears to be a leak. But. The new pump is put together and working well. We just need to fix the leak and get the water circulated!!!

This just in... Jake got a job offer today! It is in Macomb, OK. That is about a 45 minute drive from P.V.

7 days!

7 days until we are officially Oklahomans again. Thank goodness! I am tired of pledging to the Texas flag every morning.

We will be officially moved out of our apartment today. Everything is comin home tonight! Even Freddy and Chloe. But, we still have one more week of school after today. We will most likely be staying in a hotel next week.

Jake and I are taking some certification tests tomorrow at our Alma Mater (does that work for college??) We both start at 7:15. I should be finished by noon, but Jake won't be finished until around 3:30. My goal is also to find a new pool pump on Saturday. I'm ready to get that pool going! Sianora algae! (Obviously I am not the spelling bee champion!!!)

Lots of people have asked me about jobs for next year. As of today, Jake and I do not have jobs for next year. I had an interview on Monday and Jake had one on Wednesday. I also have one more scheduled on June 8th. I will keep you posted!
